- You need 2 of ripe pears, peeled, halved and cored.
- You need 1 tbsp of lemon juice.
- You need 4 tbsp of mayo from my recipe, Vickys Dairy, Egg & Soy-Free Mayo in my profile.
- You need 1 tbsp of gf Dijon mustard.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of cream from my recipe, Vickys Cashew Cream, see my profile vic20adamant.
- Prepare 1 of flaked almonds.
- You need 1 of salad leaves.
Vickys Pears with Mustard Cream Mayonnaise, Gluten, Dairy, Egg & Soy-Free step by step
- Brush the pears with the lemon juice to prevent discolouring and lay them on top of the salad leaves, cut side down, on the plate.
- Mix the mayo with the mustard and cream. Spread this over each pear half. Add a tsp of boiling water if the mixture is too thick to coat the pears smoothly.
- Toast the almonds under the grill until golden, cool, then sprinkle some over the pears.
- Chill before serving.
